Britahn is a faithful member of Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona She serves as the director of music worship. 350 West Mohave Street - Morning Worship at 11:00 a.m. Britahn recently joined Rocket Boys Records and is preparing for 2024 song releases. Britahn will perform at SoZo Coffeehouse on Friday, August 30th - 7:30 p.m. |

| Her Story |
Born in the early 90’s in Phoenix, Arizona to parents Othell and Sonji Newbill; Britahn first started singing at the age of three at her church and in a local Phoenix Community Choir. She was the youngest member to ever join the community choir. In good times and bad she has always drawn strength and inspiration from singing. Although she enjoys various types of melodic prose, the realness of her heart lies in her joy of singing praises to the Lord.While in high school at age 17, she was asked to sing the National Anthem at the 2009 Colorado Crossroads national volleyball tournament she attended as a player on the top ranked Club Arrowhead Division 18’s “A” team. She is a well-rounded young woman of GOD with many passions in addition to music. She enjoys fashion, movies, praise dancing, performing mimes, competing in sports, and especially loves spending time with her family. After graduating from Millennium High School in Goodyear, Arizona (2010), she attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She was a section leader in the Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir and an active choir member and director at Antioch Baptist Church. During her collegiate years she was blessed to sing backup for Myron Butler and chosen as a section leader by Kim Burrell at one of her workshops in Waco. She later opened a show for Holly Tucker (local Texas singing sensation) and Season 4 finalist on The Voice.  After graduating college in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in apparel merchandising and a minor in Business Administration, Britahn is working dutifully to spread her wings and let GOD take her passion for music and flare for fashion to the places He wants her to go. Her debut worship CD “CHOSEN” was released in April, 2016. Britahn has been honored to sing on AZTV channel 7, on the Chandler Center for the Arts stage for Juneteenth Celebrations, at a Baylor University Spring Fashion Show, at The Pima County Fair, and at Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding Concert where she opened the show! She sings regularly at her home church as the director of music. Most recently she is spending time in the studio recording original music and collaborating with phenomenal musician friends on various projects performing at local artist showcases in venues throughout Phoenix and vicinity. Check out her first R & B single "I Need Space" on iTunes and Spotify. More to come in 2024! Britahn is grateful to be a follower of Jesus Christ who is a recording artist. Her heart enjoys singing many genres of music and is digging deep into her place as a songwriter too. Britahn is looking forward to perform various types of music while remaining true to her roots to love GOD First and have a positive influence on music through authentic vocal story telling! |
